There is a very big issue in dust with the way squads are currently set up. There have been some improvements, but there can still be more.
Pre-Match Functions:
1: When a squad leader joins a match, but then decides to cancel deployment, as soon as he cancels deployment, EVERYONE in his squad should automatically have their deployment canceled too.
-Currently as it stands, when A squad leader goes into a match and cancels deployment. He has to tell his squad mates to cancel deployment. If one member is in a match but the other 5 members are out and want to join a different match, they cant because of just 1 person.
2: When a person wants to join a match that is not the squad leader, they shall be able to do so without having restriction. In this case the member can join any other match, and the squad leader wont be pulled in that match with them. The squad leader can still take the other 4 remaining members into a match.
- Currently , no member other than the squad leader can join matches. _________________________________________________________________________________________ In-Match Functions:
3: The squad commands that a squad leader can give, shall be able to be cast across the map / stage/ level (this is actually in a match , as long as a fellow members arrow can be seen on the map. (this idea is specifically for the squad command wheel that you bring up with R2 , point at an squad mate and assign an order to that person.
-Currently if a squad member gets out of an unspecified range, you cant assign a squad command to them.
- Previously in the chromosome build you were able to actually use the squad command wheel and assign the command from anywhere on the map, as long as you could see its icon in the distance.
- Maybe unNerf the range for assigning the commands?
There are more things with squads that I will probably add to this post, some of those things being bugs that ruin the experience , but those will take some careful thinking and planning for a solution.

Yes I agree with 2 of these. The ability to rejoin a match if there is room is needed. The squad finder would help with "LFS " spam.
The command wheel , doesnt need to be taken out. You need the command wheel to give different command like the defend order or the rally order. |
